Proud TourNew Orleans: Proud To Call It Home Tour Overview
Activities and entertainment on the Proud Tour will reflect the culture of New Orleans. Traveling exhibits will remind people about the wonderful treasures in our museums, our wetlands and other attractions. Chefs will cook and sell their specialties, musicians and actors will entertain, and artisans will sell their crafts. There will also be components specifically for locals such as a “Reunion Tent” where New Orleanians can connect with each other. Information on jobs and many other vital components of the city’s progress will be incorporated and updated as the tour progresses. Target Cities for the New Orleans: Proud To Call It Home Tour include: New Orleans, Houston, Dallas, Shreveport, Memphis, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Jackson, Mobile, and Birmingham. All Tour dates are anticipated to occur between January and June 2006. The YLC’s “New Orleans: Proud To Call It Home Tour” will take New Orleans to cities across the region with celebrations that bring New Orleanians together to share and showcase the sights and sounds, the tastes and tenor of the Crescent City with others.
